| This thesis focuses on the evolution of the main concepts in the debate on Chinesepainting at the end of the 20th century in the process of public field communication,in order to observe the situational changes of the debate,examine the concrete results ofthe debate,and judge the nature of the debate.This thesis takes the time limit from October 1976 to the end of 2002.The debateon Chinese painting is divided into three periods.As the node,the fist one is Li Xiaoshan published the "My Views on Contemporary Chinese Paintings"in 1985,the second one isthe "New Chinese Painting Exhibition"opened in 1989.The debates in the first period included the discussion of "realism",the discussionof "formal and abstract",the discussion of "self-expression and artistic essence ",andthe discussion of issues related to Chinese painting.The characteristics are the tendencyof "return" and "breakthrough".The "realism" discussion begins with breaking throughthe mainstream art model,but is reversed by the Impressionist discussion and "returns"into the context of Sino-Western cultural conflicts;The discussion of "formal and abstract"and the discussion of "self-expression and artistic essence" were all reversed by Western factors.As a triggering factor,"Western" reversed the trends of "return" and"breakthrough".The debates in the first period brought the discussion back to the context of Sino-Western cultural conflicts in the early 20th century.The main debate in the second period is the debate on "My opinion of contemporary Chinese painting".The main feature is to absorb resources from other fields and create new theory.Through the debate,a public sphere that has begun to take shape,for the nation-state,for the art.The thinking of the future has a public rational color,This effort is also based on the similarity of the participants’ knowledge structure.The debates in the third period include the discussion of "new literati painting",the discussion of "blush and ink is nothing"and the discussion in the name of "ink art".The main feature is that the participants’ knowledge sources and knowledge structure tend to be diversified,so they have different discourses in the space that is divided.At the same time,the public domain is transformed into consumerism,and the discoursediscussion tend more utilitarian,It has become a new topic for popular culture. |
