The Advancement Of The Development Of Quantum Information Science To Structural Realism

In the history of philosophy of science,realism and anti-realism have been debating for a long time about whether the basic entity in theoretical science really exists.As a branch of scientific realism,structural realism has made great contribution to the development of scientific realism.However,what is the basic entity of the physical world? How do they contribute to the physical world? " For a long time,philosophers of science have not formed a consensus.In recent years,with the development of quantum information science and technology,informational structural realism and quantum informational structural realism emerge as the times require.They regard information and quantum information as the basic entities of the physical world,subverting the traditional material ontology.Based on the development of information science and quantum information science,this paper discusses the informational structural realism and quantum informational structural realism.Through the discovery of the problems and shortcomings of informational structural realism and quantum informational structural realism,we find a new perspective and direction to solve the dispute between realism and anti-realism.This study focuses on the methods of literature research and comparative study.We first review and sort out the response of structural realism to the focus of realism and anti-realism,and then introduce the development status of information science and the appearance of informational structural realism,and explain the basic ideas and problems of informational structural realism.Then,we discuss quantum information and quantum informational structural realism,and point out the problems and shortcomings of quantum informational structural realism;finally,we deeply discuss the relationship between string net condensation theory and "quantum information and quantum matter",and on this basis,we reconstruct the quantum informational structural realism.We believe that both informational structural realism and quantum informational structural realism can not effectively deal with the dilemma faced by structural realism.The reason is that information and quantum information are not material existence intuitively.Informational structural realism and quantum informational structural realism regard this kind of non-material existence as the basic entity of constructing the physical world,which is the same as ontic structural realism.ontic structural realism regards mathematical structure as the only ontology in the world,denies the existence of entity,and fails to face Kuhn’s argument at the level of ontology and interpretation.This is an escape strategy,and it is meaningless for the defense of structural realism.If we adopt the world outlook of "everything comes from entangled quantum bits" and "quantum information is quantum matter",and endow quantum information with new connotation,we will provide new ideas and solutions to the dilemma of the existence of quantum informational structural realism,and make effective response to Kuhn’s ontological discontinuity from the ontology level and the interpretation level,solve the dispute between realism and anti-realism in a certain extent.
