Factors Influencing International Logistics Under Economic Globalization And Strategy Recommendations For China

International logistics is the carrier and means of economic globalization.Economic globalization involves many dimensions,some of which have different degrees of impact on the development of international logistics.Study on these factors should focus on the main dimensions and key factors.In the process of economic globalization,participants,promotion mechanism and performance are changing,accompanied by the spatial expansion,mode change and morphological evolution of international logistics.At present,economic globalization is facing re adjustment.The existing industrial division of labor,trade mode and benefit distribution are being reshaped,which will inevitably lead to great changes in international logistics.In the new stage of economic globalization,the international situation has changed greatly,and China's status and role have also changed.Under this background,China has launched the Belt and Road Initiatives(B&R Initiatives)to create a new platform for global cooperation.International logistics is an important carrier of B&R Initiatives,and is also deeply influenced by this new mode of globalization.China needs to actively respond to the changes of the factors and adjust the strategy of international logistics,in order to support the implementation of B&R Initiatives and integrate into and promote economic globalization.This paper takes the factors influencing international logistics under economic globalization as the study object,and uses the method of system analysis to study the relationship between economic globalization and international logistics.Based on the theories of international political economy,economic geography,technological innovation and diffusion,etc,and on the basis of previous research results,this paper determines the main dimensions of the factors influencing international logistics under economic globalization,then establish the theoretical framework of influencing factors analysis.Using this theoretical framework,the paper analyzes the impact of economic globalization on international logistics in each dimension in different stages,then summarizes the historical law and puts forward the strategy recommendations of international logistics for China in the new stage of economic globalization.The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:Firstly,on the basis of clarifying the basic concepts of economic globalization and international logistics,the paper analyzes the relationship between them,and puts forward four main dimensions of the factors influencing international logistics under economic globalization,namely,governance structure,spatial pattern,science and technology,and rule system.This paper defines the meaning of each dimension,analyzes the impact of economic globalization on international logistics in each dimension,and establishes a four-dimensional analysis framework of the factors influencing international logistics under economic globalization,which is the theoretical framework of the paper.Secondly,taking the great geographical discovery as the beginning of economic globalization,this paper studies the impact of economic globalization on international logistics in three stages,using the four-dimensional analysis framework.The first stage of globalization ended in the World War ?,mainly relying on violence and capital,forming an international production and trade network rooted in colonial economy.The two industrial revolutions promoted the international division of labor and geographical discovery.In this stage of globalization,the maritime transportation system driven and maintained by capital and violent has been established,and the international route network has been expanded from the Mediterranean to the whole world.The second stage of globalization ended with the suspension of Doha Round negotiations and the outbreak of the global financial crisis in 2008,which established a multilateral trading system represented by WTO and dominated by developed countries.The third scientific and technological revolution promoted the vertical and specialized international division of labor,forming three production networks in Europe,North America and East Asia.In this stage of globalization,multinational companies and their home countries dominated the global logistics resources and market.The container revolution promotes the industrial transfer,and the international logistics centers along the Pacific coast rise with the global industrial transfer.The third stage of globalization is in progress.With the rise of emerging economies,it is building a multi governance and win-win globalization.Large scale multilateral trade cooperation is turning to regional cooperation represented by giant free trade agreement.In this stage of globalization,International logistics is speeding up the pattern adjustment,facing the re allocation of resources and market restructuring,rapid growth of regional demand,diversified development of business models,and the establishment of a new rule system.The opportunities have emerged for late developing countries to participate in rule makingThirdly,the paper studies the impact of B&R Initiatives as a new mode to promote globalization proposed by China on international logistics using the four-dimensional analysis framework,and puts forward the strategy recommendations for China.B&RInitiatives adhere to the principles of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits.China as the proponent of the initiative proactively promotes the diffusion of production network along B&R,in order to promoting the development of the middle underdeveloped areas in Eurasian Continent.Under B&R initiative,international logistics will form a two-way development pattern of land and sea.Under the situation that the pattern of maritime logistics has been stable,China should make progress in the land direction of international logistics.It is one of the strategy recommendations for China's international logistics development in the new stage of globalization to construct the land logistics channel and unify the land international logistics rules.Fouthly,the paper proposes to take CHINA RAILWAY Express(CR Express)as a carrier to make progress in the land direction of international logistics under B&R initiative.Under the four-dimensional analysis framework,this paper sorts out the specific factors affecting the development of CR Express.The key factors,cause factors and result factors were identified by mathematical model.Then the paper studies the competition between CR Express and maritime logistics on the key factors.From the aspects of accelerating the innovation of technology and mode,unifying the rules and standard system,etc.,the paper puts forward suggestions on the development of CR Express.Fifthly,based on the strategy recommendations of steadily promoting the development of maritime logistics and making progress in the land direction of international logistics under B&R initiative,the paper puts forward policy suggestions for China from three aspects of the development of CR Express,the development of international logistics under B&R initiative,and the development of international logistics in the new stage of economic globalization.The main contributions and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper constructs a four-dimensional analysis framework of governance structure,spatial pattern,science and technology,and rule system,as a theoretical framework for studying the factors influencing international logistics under economic globalization.(2)From the perspective of time and space,this paper expands the perspective of research on international logistics.In terms of time,the impacts of economic globalization on international logistics are systematically sorted out in different stages in the process of 500 years of history of economic globalization.In terms of space,the study on international logistics is expanded from the traditional maritime field to two spaces of land and sea.(3)The paper analyzes B&R initiatives' influence on international logistics by using the four-dimensional analysis framework,and proposes that in the new stage of globalization,China should take the market as the main means and the national comprehensive strength as the support,on the basis of steadily promoting the development of maritime logistics,to make progress in the land direction of international logistics under B&R initiative.(4)The paper proposes that CR Express should be take as a carrier for making progress in the land direction of international logistics under B&R initiative.The key factors of CR Express are identified and the game behavior between CR Express and the maritime logistics is analyzed using mathematical model.On this basis,the paper puts forward specific suggestions for the development of international logistics for China.
