| The Pure Land Sutra is one of the most joyful scenes in all Buddhist paintings.It shows the bliss life enjoyed by all human beings after being saved.In contrast,Buddhism’s Bunsen story shows the sufferings of the Buddha in the past,telling the true meaning of the retribution and samsara;the story of Buddhism shows the Buddha save all human beingsin the hardships of Buddha’s life and can endure all the sufferings of the world of the whirling,and with the spirit of the warrior," If I don’t go to hell,who goes to hell",and the infinite sorrow,create opportunities for the whirling of the world to get rid of the pain;other sutra paintings,such as the Mogao Grottoes,which have a large number of Vimalakis Sutra.The content of the Buddhist scriptures emphasizes that in the home,the scholars can also go deep into the world and save the sentient beings.They can also be superbly sanctified and reach the realm of nirvana and liberation,indicating that there is no difference between the Buddha and the real world.Buddha exists in trouble.The Vimalaki Sutra sit as a classic picture composition with Manjushri and Vimalaki,which shows the scene of the tit-for-tat debate.There is no joy at all.There are also Guanyin Sutra,Fahua Sutra,and the grace of the Fa,and they are also showing the hardships of life and blessings and misfortunes are impermanence.In short,most Buddhist paintings use the "bitter" and "set" of the world’s law as the main propaganda content,and the pure land Sutra is the main propaganda object of the "destruction","dao" and the world law,and the means of suffering for the sentient beings.It depicts the state of bliss life after suffering.Such a pure land Sutra of joy,especially the representative of the pure land Sutra of bliss,the pure land Sutra in the West,was widely welcomed by all walks of life in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty(From 650 to 820 A.D.).The western bliss pure land Sutra is in harmony with the Tang Dynasty dynasty,on the one hand,drawing Western Sutra is the merits of the supporters to save the pure land;on the other hand,it is also the side reflection of social stability and the people’s prosperity.The Western Pure Lands Sutra combines the different aesthetic qualities of Indian Buddhist culture and Chinese traditional culture,and the obvious differences can be seen from its basic composition.In this paper,the early Western variants are divided into two patterns: "Idol-style Western change" and "Wonderful Western change".They are considered to belong to the two kinds of image systems of ancient Indian "Holy Worship" and ancient Chinese "Architectural Etiquette".In order to carry out in-depth exploration and analysis of the origin and development of these two types of image systems,respectively,the "symmetric surrounding" and "ceremonial regulation",as well as the development and application of the "parallel orthogonal" perspective space method,the two composition pattern formation is of great significance.In this way,we try to explain the root of the image formation of the Western Pure Land in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty.The two composition patterns have undergone their own development process,and finally they are perfectly combined in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty.This is not only a manifestation of the cultural integration of China and India,but also a typical image style in the process of sinicization of Buddhist art.It has an important influence on the development of Buddhist paintings.In addition to the Sino-Indian fusion on the composition,the Western Pure Land is also full of symbolic features of Buddhism,Confucianism,and Taoism in the elements of the picture.This paper is about the rows of trees,nets,hurdles,seven treasures,canopy,brackets,and towers in western Sutra.The symbolic meanings of different cultural backgrounds are analyzed and explained one by one,and they are displayed as much as possible in different Western Pure Land Sutra.The symbolic meaning of these picture elements is the embodiment of the respective aesthetic concepts of Chinese and Indian cultures,which can also enhance the aesthetic appreciation of the Western Pure Land Sutra to a more professional level.The Pure Land Sutra combines the artistic aesthetics of the two nationalities of China and India with the Pure Land faith,creating a classic and far-reaching Buddhist painting style,and also showing us the positive,optimistic and good-minded aesthetic attitude of the working people in the Tang Dynasty.The more aesthetic images contained in it need to be further explored. |
