On Tiki Memes Of American Pop Design

American Pop Design integrates design and business.In recent years,in the Pop Design with "Tiki" element as the theme,the spread of Tiki has attracted the attention of scholars,and has reference value for design practice.Based on the background of the consumer society of the United States in the middle and late 20 th century,Tiki's works in Pop Design are selected as the research object.Under the Meme theory in the field of cultural communication,the replication,variation and application of Tiki Memes are the research content.Furthermore,based on Pop Theory in design research,and the theories in the studies of communication,architecture,biology,mathematics.Through literature reading and overseas investigation,this paper analyzes and studies the transmission of Tiki Memes in Pop Design so as to explore Tiki's development process in American graphic,product,architecture and other design fields,summarize the design modes in Tiki's culture combined with American popular culture,elaborate the variation of Tiki Memes and the mathematical relationships in Tiki Pop Design,reveal the transmission interval law of Tiki Memes in Pop Design,and explain the beauty of geometry in Tiki Memes.Concerning research methods,the historical investigation method is used to analyze the historical background and the development of Pop Design;The method of systematic holistic view and case study is used to reveal the representation system and the transmission interval law of Tiki Memes;philosophical thinking method is used to explain the beauty of Tiki Memes under the trend of naturalistic aesthetics;interdisciplinary and qualitative research methods are used to carries out the integrated research of Tiki.In the research content,the first chapter describes the reason of the rise of South Pacific style Pop Design in the United States,introduces the evolution of Tiki from Polynesian Tiki to American Tiki,and reveals the representation system and the transmission interval law of Tiki Memes;the second chapter analyzes the information unit formed in the process of two-dimensional reproduction and radiative transmission of Tiki Meme,and discusses the abstract changes and evolution of Tiki Memes.The third chapter explains the appearance reproduction and chain transmission mechanism of Tiki products,and analyzes the evolution of Tiki Memes in Pop product design;the fourth chapter explores Tiki's spatial reproduction and field transmission,and analyzes the spatial variation and evolution of field effect under Topology Theory;the fifth chapter,based on the naturalistic aesthetic trend,makes use of mathematical relations to analyze Tiki's golden section ratio and root rectangle.The research conclusions are as follows: First,the function of Tiki symbol in American Pop Design has changed from sacredness to entertainment,and has formed an American style cultural expression;Second,the transmission interval law of Tiki Memes can directly explain the transmission process of Tiki Memes;Third,the golden rectangle,golden spiral,golden triangle,root rectangle and root two spiral fold are the visual forms and applied forms of the geometry beauty of Tiki Pop.Therefore,the theoretical significance of adopting Memetics as the framework to explain the image of Tiki in Pop Design and to explore the information unit,constituent elements,cultural carrier and Pop symbols is to construct the theoretical basis for the transmission interval law of Tiki Memes and provide a new perspective for the research of Pop Design.Its practical value lies in the application of mathematical relationship in Geometry in Pop Design practice,which provides some creative guidance and a new evaluation standard for design practice.
