With the rise and development of cognitive semantics, the study of MOTION EVENT has gradually become the focus of linguists all over the world.Among them, the most important problem is what kind of surface element is used to express the"Path"as the core schema in motion events.Talmy calls this kind of research"lexification patterns".We translate"lexicalization"into"??",mainly referring to the translation of scholars such as Li Fuyin and Shi Wenlei. It should be noted that"lexification"can correspond to two different kinds of translation, namely,??and???.The former refers to the encoding and expression of conceptual categories in lexical form, while the latter refers to the formation of lexical units through the diachronic development of the original syntactic combination(Shi Wenlei,2014:7).The former is synchronic while the latter is diachronic. The lexicalization type of Talmy studied in this paper belongs to the first one.Based on the study of lexicalization types,Talmy divides world languages into two types: Satellite-framed language(S-Language)and Verb-framed languages(V-language).He thinks that Chinese, like English, belongs to satellite-framed language, which has aroused heated discussion in the linguistic field. Many scholars oppose this view and think that Chinese tends to be a Verb-framed languages, some scholars put forward a new type, that Chinese belongs to the " Equipollently-framed languages(E-language).".But a common problem of these studies is that they only demonstrate one aspect of Chinese characteristics. For example, most of the studies focus on the problem of Chinese path verbs, and there is little discussion on other components of Chinese that can express Path.So on the basis of absorbing the previous research results, this paper tries to analyze the lexicalization type of Chinese "path" more comprehensively, not only studying path verbs, but also prepositions and locators. The research results of this paper support Talmy's assertion that Chinese belongs to S-Language,but also find the differences between Chinese and English in path expression, which shows that Chinese path expression is an "analytical" expression, while English path expression is a "comprehensive" expression, which is a rich theory of motion events. It is not only a great progress for the theory of sports events, but also an important reference for the teaching of Chinese as a second language. This paper is divided into seven parts:Chapter 1 is the introduction, which mainly introduces the main content, theoretical and practical value and research methods of this paper.Chapter 2 is on the basis of the related theories introduced in Chapter 1,to further explain and improve some related concepts. It mainly includes the further classification of motion events, the further explanation of the concept of "Path",and the further explanation of " satellite to verb ".Chapter 3 to chapter 6 are the main parts of this paper :Chapter three comprehensively analyzes the relationship between Chinese"path verbs"and the path expression of motion events, including the situation that path verbs are lexicalized into[path]as the main verbs and satellite lexicalized into[path]as the main verbs. This chapter also tries to classify Chinese path verbs according to three vector types of[??],[??]and[??].In the Chapter 4,"manner verb" and "reason verb" can not be lexicalized into the semantic component of "path",but they are very important parts in the expression of Chinese sports events,so they are discussed in a separate chapter. In this chapter,we mainly distinguish the manner verbs and reason verbs and how they participate in the expression of Chinese motion events. From the analysis of the corpus collected from our induced experiments,we can find that Chinese is a typical satellite framework language, because native speakers usually choose to use the structure of "manner verb + path verb" when the accessibility of "manner" is high.Only when the accessibility of "manner" is low or no need to be indicated, can they use the verb framework to express, and if it is causative motion events, the structure of "reason verb + path verb" must be used. The above research results provide a strong support for Talmy's theory that Chinese belongs to satellite-framed languages.Chapter 5 mainly introduces the relationship between "path prepositions" in Chinese and the path expression of motion events, and points out that path prepositions can be divided into three categories according to "Introducting starting point","Introducting ending point" and "Introducting intermediate range",and finally concludes that the function of Chinese path prepositions is to provide "perspective" for path.Chapter 6 studies Chinese path expression from the perspective of"location words/Locatives",which has not received enough attention in previous studies. However, through our research,we find that Chinese location words and Locatives structure are indispensable components of path expression, which mainly provides the factor of"structure"for path, which is Chinese path expression and English path table One of the very obvious differences.Through the relationship between location words and path expression,we solve the problem of path coding in Chinese expressions such as"???"and"???".The last part is the conclusion, which summarizes the research results and innovations, and points out the shortcomings of this study. One of the most important innovations is to point out that Chinese path expression is an "analytical" expression,...
