With the rapid expansion of urban in China,the demand for residents' travel increases sharply.The trend of diversified development of transportation is remarkable.The contradictions in the urban multi-mode transportation system become increasingly prominent.This requires a reasonable and accurate theoretical system of urban multi-mode transportation system support urgently.Grasping the traffic demand of various travel modes in the city accurately is the key link of the theoretical system of the urban multi-mode transportation system,and also be the premise and foundation of determining the development direction of urban transportation.This paper analysis the urban travel structure deeply,explore the travel distance characteristics of various travel modes and propose a mode split method based on the advantageous travel distance(ATD)which conforms China's urban traffic structure can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the demand analysis of urban transport system effectively.This paper depends on the key project of the national natural science foundation,?Collaborative Planning Theory,and Method of Urban Multi-mode Transportation Network Based on Generalized Transportation Hub ?(51638004).Based on the characteristic analysis of urban transportation in our country,the ATD research of each travel mode was studied in this paper.Around the variation characteristics of ATD,this paper expounds the mechanism of the influencing factors from the micro and macro level respectively and puts forward the mode split model and application method based on the ATD in the urban multimode transportation system.The specific research content of this paper includes five parts:(1)Characteristics of travel distance under the urban multi-mode transportation system.Based on expounding the concept of urban multi-mode transportation systems,the structure of the multi-mode transportation system in characteristic cities is analyzed.This paper analyzed the macroscopic,mesoscopic,and microscopic factors affecting the travel modes choose.The distribution characteristics of the travel distance of residents are extracted from the actual data,and the distribution functions of the travel distance of different travel modes are explored by classification.The concept of ATD and advantage degree is put forward,as well as its research significance.The influence of travel mode attribute,user difference,and city difference on advantageous travel distance is explained in detail.(2)A mode split model for urban residents travels based on ATD.The ideas,principles,and steps of the model construction are deduced from the theoretical.This paper constructs the generalized travel cost function of common transportation modes in China.The suggested values of key parameters are given at the same time.The ATD curve model based on generalized travel cost is fitted and the parameter calibration method is discussed.A method of OD matrix analysis based on the ATD curve and the shortest path matrix between traffic cells is presented.(3)The research on the ATD considering user differences.Based on the actual data of residents' travel survey,the micro-factors influencing the choice of residents' travel mode are extracted.This paper describes the distribution characteristics of travelers' time value,the characteristics of traveler's gender,age,vehicle ownership,and travel purpose,and travel time,and then the curve of ATD of travel mode is drawn.BLP model is introduced into traffic demand analysis,and a utility function model is constructed to increase users' time value characteristics and travelers' characteristics,which can be solved only by the distribution of characteristic parameters.(4)Model modification on the ATD considering city differences.By comparing the ATD curves of different cities,this paper expounds on the influence of the difference of cities on the study of the ATD curves.The action mechanism of urban characteristics on the curve of ATD and the action principle of structural parameters of the nested Logit model is proposed.The urban traffic index system is established.We analyze the correlation of the key indexes and various travel modes.And the fitting function that can reflect the relationship between structural parameters and traffic index in the nested Logit model is constructed.(5)Application and practice of travel mode split model based on ATD.Taking Zhuhai as an example,the analysis and prediction of travel mode selection are carried out.The micro and macro applications are carried out respectively,which illustrates the effectiveness of the urban traffic mode analysis based on the ATD curve.Based on the TranStar software platform,a functional module of travel mode division corresponding to the theoretical research content of this paper is designed,which can be applied to the division of travel mode in different cities.
