Abstract/Summary:
The objective of this dissertation is to find the minimum supply chain cost for the Indian oil and gas industry. The problem is solved by introducing a mixed -- integer programming model which will avail in taking the obligatory decisions predicated on the cost estimates for sundry scenarios. In order to meet the objective, categorical objectives were put down to evaluate their impacts. This research was to evaluate the economic impact of mode of transport. This research primarily focuses on the Pipeline mode of transport and how the selected pipe diameter and the flow through the selected pipe affect the supply chain costs. Conclusively this dissertation aims at the mixed -- integer programming model to demonstrate the economic impacts on the supply chain.
