Abstract/Summary:
cope and Method of Study. The main objective of this study was to develop and evaluate a model for conducting a follow-up study of technician program graduates. The model was developed and tested using 711 graduates of automotive and electronics technology programs at six technical institutes in the United States and Thailand for the purpose of evaluating the model and to determine the adequacy of the training programs offered by the technical institutes.;Findings and Conclusions. A majority of the respondents did not migrate out of the states or provinces in which they graduated. Forty-three percent of the automotive and 59% of electronics respondents from two technical institutes in the United States are holding jobs in or related to their field of major study. Eight-five percent of automotive and 82% of electronics respondents from the four technical institutes in Thailand are holding jobs in or related to their fields of major study.
