However, little if any of this research has sought to explore the religious and spiritual identities of Roman Catholic priests following residential psychiatric treatment. Therefore, this study examined the religious and spiritual identities of 44 Roman Catholic priests before and after treatment.;in a residential psychiatric facility. Data was obtained from the Assessment of Spirituality and Religious Sentiments (ASPIRES). Results show that priests' Religious Involvement (RI) and Prayer Fulfillment (PF) increased significantly over time with PF and Spiritual Transcendence (ST) increasing significantly when compared to diocesan priests.
