| Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMP) inhibits the neutral metalloproteinases, collagenase, gelatinase, and stromelysin, which are involved in extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling. The expression pattern of TIMP was determined in the developing mouse embryo using in situ hybridization analysis.
