he purpose of this research is to study the effect of HMM activation by immune complexes on n-LDL metabolism.;In conclusion, we have obtained experimental evidence demonstrating that incubation of HMM with LDL-IC leads to cell CE accumulation, inducing the transformation of these cells into foam cells and that when the LDL-IC are taken up by the Fc receptor there is a marked enhancement of LDL receptor expression.
