he purpose of this dissertation is to answer the question: Are we, as Christians, called to "grace" relationships with God and with one another and, if so, what do these relationships look like?;The procedure of this dissertation is (1) to present in a clear and concise manner and in layman's language the doctrines of grace and legalism, to present what being "under God's grace" and "under law" mean in theological and practical terms and to clarify and apply the many facets of each; and (2) to take what has been learned about the Christian's "under grace" relationship with God and apply it to relationships at the "horizontal," relational level.
