Abstract/Summary:
An analytical and numerical model for the analysis of plane frame-panel systems considering material nonlinearity is presented in this study.; The model employs three finite elements, the constant strain triangle, beam element, and joint element. These elements are used in different combinations to analyze and obtain displacements and internal reactions in plane frames, walls or frame-wall/panel systems.; A special purpose computer program, which is based on this model, is developed and documented in the appendix.; Solutions to several example problems are presented. The results of these problems showed favorable comparison with available experimental data.; The developed model is simple, practical and effective in the analysis of plane-frame panel systems.
