Abstract/Summary:
Dual phase polycrystalline ceramics containing MgO with 40 vol% ZrO;To compare the flow behavior of MgO + 40 vol% ZrO;The activation energy for deformation of MgO + 40 vol% ZrO;This study also indicated that a minimum in the flow stress was observed for nearly equal volume fractions of phases. The flow behavior of the composite was attributed to the interphase boundary and enhanced diffusivity due to creation of cationic point defects.
