Abstract/Summary:
This dissertation investigated the linkage between employee job satisfaction and reinventing government activities in concert with the National Partnership For Reinventing Government (NPR). The data supported the hypotheses that the priority assigned to reinvention and implementation of NPR reinventing government projects were significantly associated with employee job satisfaction. The data also identified the independent variables of involvement in decision making, rewards and priority of reinvention as the key predictors of employee job satisfaction. This is one of the few studies of the federal public sector to directly link a major federal reform initiative to employee job satisfaction.
