Abstract/Summary:
Hearing Zone is a regional audiology private practice with seven full-center offices and three service centers in the states of Utah and Idaho. The development of the company's web site was completed due to the increasing popularity and influence of the Internet among the elderly population. The web site is an informational service and marketing tool for the hard-of-hearing individual. It will recruit new patients into the office by educating the public about audiology, running advertising promotions on the web site, and answering individual's questions and concerns through e-mail. The web site will be posted on the Internet in August 2001. This document addresses the pros and cons of an audiology web site, displays and analyzes each section of the developed web site, and outlines strategies for determining the effectiveness of the web site.
