Abstract/Summary:
Several beyond the Standard Model theories include a second set of weak gauge bosons and heavy right-handed neutrinos. A search for the ZR boson and heavy neutrinos was performed considering decay to a pair of heavy neutrinos resulting in a lepton flavor violating same-sign lepton and multi-jet signature. Using 20.3--fb of integrated luminosity recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC at sqrt{s} = 8 TeV, the search observed no excess above the Standard Model. Limits were placed on the mass of the ZR boson and heavy neutrinos, excluding ZR up to approx ∼2 TeV in mass.
