This dissertation is an in depth exploration of the appearance and expression of the feminine in the visionary experiences of women. These women grew up in Western culture where masculine ideals have been valued over feminine ones, which has resulted in an imbalance and a disconnection from their wholeness and capacities as women. In this qualitative study, six women were interviewed and asked to share a powerful vision of the feminine that led to transformation. A depth psychological lens was used to analyze the symbolism and to provide interpretations for each vision. A group visionary experience was also conducted to contribute more data and to help identify themes, which were identified through an in depth thematic analysis. All research was conducted within the structure of organic inquiry.;The feminine in this study is defined by the expression of at least one of the following qualities: embodied, relational, cyclical, chthonic, antinomian, receptive, and imaginal. These qualities were common in the experiences of the participants and the chthonic quality appeared very frequently. The visionary experiences demonstrate ways that women have been reconnecting to the feminine and integrating feminine values into their lives. There were several symbolic and archetypal expressions of the feminine that were common amongst the participants, which offer insights as to what is arising in the collective.
