| "Field Work," a creative dissertation, is a collection of autobiographical essays which explores the author's cross-cultural journeys inside the triangle of western Germany, eastern Germany, and America. Engaging the dynamics of language, architecture, history, and family, all of the essays work with moments of literal and psychological border crossing, moments in which the traditional boundaries of home become fluid and the space between cultures fills with its own kind its own kind of integrity. |
