To provide a valuable impetus for dance education to achieve maximum effectiveness, educators and the public must acknowledge that dance is worthy of being called an art form and teaching it is a necessary part of educational reform. A major objective of educators, teachers, parents and policymakers should be to promote dance as an art form in elementary education in much the same way as music is promoted. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' attitudes concerning dance as a regular curricular component in elementary education in Taiwan. Children who learn dance will develop several kinds of intelligence. All of the participants in the survey were teachers in elementary school. The results indicated that teachers need to grow and recognize that a perfect integrated arts education is an essential basic in elementary school for children's education. Every child should have the right to learn dance as an art form in order to have a holistic educational experience.
