Abstract/Summary:
I describe the development of a hard X-ray telescope optics technology, from design to X-ray testing, for use in the 5–170 keV energy band. In addition, a global model of a photoionized accretion disk shows that the observed 0.3–6 keV spectra of several low-mass X-ray binaries have atomic line emission originating at an extended disk atmosphere and corona.
