In this study, the neural networks back propagation error algorithm was used to available experimental test data for a selected semi-rigid connection type in order to obtain reliable and smooth moment-rotation curves. As a natural output of these curves, the connection stiffness was used in a non-linear finite element analysis program to accurately predict iteratively overall steel frame response. An Integration Module was proposed to perform a full analysis and design of frames with different semi-rigid connection types, including top and bottom angle with double web angles. |
