| This research was divided into three main parts. The first part focused on the copolymerization of a mixture 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-phenyl-6-fluoroquinoxaline and 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-phenyl-6-fluoroquinoxaline with less expensive comonomers. Thus, the quinoxaline monomer was copolymerized with bisphenol A and 4,4;In the second part, several attempts were made to polymerize the self-polymerizable polyphenylquinoxaline (PPQ) mixture of 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-phenyl-6-chloroquinoxaline and 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-phenyl-6-chloroquinoxaline. Although the purity of the monomer mixture was extremely high, it could not be polymerized to high molecular weights.;In the last part of this research, more reactive self-polymerizable quinoxaline monomers were synthesized.
