| In this dissertation, we make an analytical study of certain control issues in project management using stochastic models. Our results yield insights into the effective control of variability in large scale projects. Further, we provide a rigorous treatment of first order and second order variability effects in activity networks, thereby extending current research in the area of robustness of project networks to variability. |
