Abstract/Summary:
Lattice simulations are used to investigate two separate theories of quark confinement in SU(3) gauge theory. The first of these theories is the dual superconductivity model. In this model the gauge is fixed by an Intermediate Abelian Gauge (IAG), followed by an Abelian projection. In the vortex condensation theory an Intermediate Center Gauge (ICG) and center projection is used. Quantities like Wilson loop and Creutz ratio will be calculated both in Abelian projection and ZN vortex condensation theory. The results will be compared with those in the theory without gauge fixing. Correlations between the monopoles of Abelian projection and vortices are sought.
