This modified Delphi Study dealt with the benefits, considerations, and disadvantages of implementing the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence. The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence is designed to provide organizations with a framework to improve competitiveness in a global economy. Benefits, considerations, and disadvantages need to be evaluated prior to adoption and implementation of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria. Additionally, two other factors were assessed. First, Transactional, Situational, Servant, and Transformational Leadership Models were examined to determine if any of these models appear to be congruent with implementation requirements. Second, Kotter's Change Model was assessed to determine if utilization of the model could facilitate organizational implementation. This research effort connects the elements of the Learning Organization as being critical to Baldrige implementation efforts. |
