Abstract/Summary:
The weak localization, as a precursor of strong localization originates from the proliferation of quantum interference and is analytically investigated in the case of quantum chaos. For chaotic systems, the weak localization encompasses the crossover from classical (diffusive) behavior to strong localization and involves the Ehrenfest time. In the context of weak Anderson localization, manifestations of this Ehrenfest time dependent crossover in the level statistics are studied. In the context of weak dynamical localization, manifestations of such a crossover in the energy growth of quantum kicked rotor are studied. Experimental observations of the Ehrenfest time dependent weak dynamical localization are discussed.
