The purpose of the study was to determine the degree of implementation of faculty development initiatives at two Bryant & Stratton Colleges in New York State. A number of planned faculty development program (FDP) initiatives were provided to develop faculty contribution to the colleges in the form of improved student instruction and retention. Data were collected via descriptive case study methodology using surveys and campus interviews to gain additional insights into each campus FDP.;The many facets of FDP are presented in the literature review to account for the potential individuality of FDP within and between campuses of study. Administrators and faculty at Syracuse and Syracuse North Bryant & Stratton Campuses in New York served as the sample from which data was gathered.;As a result of the research both faculty and administration may better understand how effectively FDP have been presented and implemented. Outcomes of the research study may include better allocation of college resources or more refined, planned FDP to improve instruction, retention and student learning outcomes. |
