The emphasis in this study was to identify a profile of an injured worker, which will then translate into a better understanding of a typical occupationally injured individual seeking compensation. Using an archival data set consisting of 230 workers' compensation claimants, MMPI-2 scores were converted into the MMPI-2-RF and then analyzed in order to identify mean T-scores on all scales of the RF. The study additionally performed correlational analyses of MMPI-2-RF scores according to various claimant characteristics: age, education, occupation, body mass index, time since last worked, and the Wahler Physical Symptoms Inventory.;Keywords: worker's compensation, MMPI-2-RF, Restructured Form, assessment, forensic, chronic pain. |
