The purpose of this study was to explore how Department of Defense (DOD) program manager perceptions of organizational learning and the influence of transformational leadership style on those perceptions affect weapon acquisition.; The results of this study suggest several important findings including that a knowledge gap exists in DOD program manager understanding of organizational learning; DOD program managers are not using organizational learning strategies to affect the DOD weapon acquisition culture; and DOD program managers have adopted a conceptual framework regarding learning.; Studying DOD program managers' perceptions of organizational learning and the influence of transformational leadership style on how those perceptions affect weapon acquisition represents is an important step in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the populations work.
