Abstract/Summary:
Due to legislation, it is imperative to provide teachers with high-quality professional development. Recognizing high-quality professional development and the perceptions of those participating in professional development is important. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education sends out a description of high-quality professional development to each school district every year. Each teacher is to determine if they met the criteria established. This study determines to what degree NCLB-Blue Ribbon Schools' teachers perceive high-quality professional development experiences and to what degree they perceive them to contribute to NCLB-Blue Ribbon School recognition.
