Abstract/Summary:
With the advance of science, the demand of new analytical techniques with much higher sensitivity increases. Especially, in the mass spectrometry community, one of the successful responses to that kind of demand is the development of nanoelectrospray ionization. However, nanoelectrospray ionization still has a margin to be developed further. There are still some molecules which cannot be detected in a diluted/complex condition with nanoelectrospray ionization. The work described in this dissertation is focused on overcoming that obstacle by enhancing sensitivity of nanoelectrospray ionization. In addition, a new specific labeling method for peptides/proteins quantitation which can provide a new option to various fields including proteomics is also dealt in this dissertation.
