The Theoretical Logic, Key Breakthroughs And Realization Path Of China's Building As A Powerful Trading Nation

Since the founding of new China,especially since the reform and opening up,China's foreign trade has gone through an extraordinary development process and made remarkable achievements.The import and export volume of goods trade has grown rapidly from less than 1.2 billion US dollars in 1950 to 4.6 trillion US dollars in 2019.It has become the world's largest country in goods trade,creating a miracle in the history of China's economic development and world trade development history,making outstanding contributions to China's economic and social development,reform and opening up,and playing an important role in global economic and trade growth.At present,the domestic conditions and foreign environment of China's foreign trade development have undergone profound changes,the traditional competitive advantage of foreign trade has gradually lost and weakened,the comprehensive cost of domestic labor force has been rising,and China's economic development has entered a new stage of high-quality.The trade unilateralism and trade protectionism of the major developed economies are becoming more and more fierce,trade protectionism is rising,and the construction of multilateral trade cooperation system is stagnant,especially the Sino-US economic and trade frictions bring severe challenges to China's foreign trade development.Under the circumstances of profound changes in domestic and foreign conditions,the structural problems of China's foreign trade are becoming increasingly prominent.The traditional development path of China's foreign trade is unsustainable.It is urgent to change the method of foreign trade development,focus on improving the traditional competitive advantage,vigorously cultivate new advantages in trade competition,promote the innovative development of foreign trade,and actively promote the implementation of the strategy of trade power.On the basis of literature review,the paper first puts forward the basic theory and practical logic of China's trade power construction,reviews the changes of China's foreign trade system since the founding of the people's Republic of China,the history and contribution of China's foreign trade development,analyzes the impact of Sino-US economic and trade fricitions based on the development history and characteristics,the paper puts forward the main ways to promote the construction of the trade power.This paper focuses on the analysis and discussion of Digital Trade and tourism service trade,pointing out that tourism service trade is the weak point of trade power construction of a strong trading country,digital trade is the key breakthrough to achieve the construction of trade power,and improving China's position in the global value chain is the fundamental requirement.It is suggested that we should focus on the development of Digital Trade and tourism service trade,seize the commanding heights of digital trade rules and global value chains,enhance the position of global value chain,promote the development of service trade to overtake,promote the unified and coordinated development of service trade and goods trade,and accelerate the realization of the strategy of building a trade power.
