Nowadays,to serve more users,utilizing wider signal band,increasing the data rate,and improving the users' experience,the next generation wireless communication system need to improve the system performance significantly.On one side,the SC-FDE and the OFDM system has frequency domain equalization,which bring up the complexity to evaluate the performance of the systems.Until now,as one of the important measures of these system,outage probability has no closed-form expression.Furthermore,the existing analysis of the diversity order have some problems: the simulation performance curve cannot be compared with the theoretic curve to prove that the estimated diversity gain is accurate.For the novel V-OFDM,even no ideal analysis method has been found.On the other side,recently,the Single-Carrier Frequency Domain Equalization(SC-FDE)and the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM)techniques,which has been implemented in the wireless communication systems,both has advantages and disadvantages.The SC-FDE technique can obtain the full multi-path diversity gain and excellent Bit Error Rate or Outage performance through the Inter Symbol Interference(ISI)channel,while it cannot allocate the frequency and time resources flexibly.The OFDMA system,although has flexibility to allocate the frequency and time resources,it cannot obtain ideal full multi-path diversity gain and excellent Bit Error Rate or Outage performance without the help of error correct code.The combination of SC-FDE and the OFDM will provide a new direction for the performance improvement of the next generation wireless communication.Thus,Vector OFDM(V-OFDM),which is a general technique of the SC-FDE and the OFDM techniques,is proposed in 2001.The V-OFDM can utilize the high performance of the SC-FDE and the flexibility of the V-OFDM techniques,eliminating the channel null,achieving full multi-path diversity.However,V-OFDM is designed for the Single Input Single Output system.How to implement the V-OFDM in the Multiple Input Multiple Output system is one of the problem analyzed in this paper.This paper focus on the problems above.The main contributions of this dissertation is summarized as bellow:· For the problem that there is no closed-form expression of the outage performance of the SC-FDE system,a novel Grassmannian Manifold based Multi-Dimensional Hypergeometric Analysis(GMMDHA)is proposed.By constraint the estimated error with an acceptable amount,GMMDHA provide a closed-form expression for the SCFDE system.As an interesting thing,GMMDHA can not only give out the detail analysis of the outage performance of the SC-FDE system,but also can investigate the outage performance of V-OFDM in different Inter Symbol Interference(ISI)fading channel.Finally,both the theory analysis and the simulation has prove that GMMDHA is an excellent method to evaluate the system outage performance in ISI channel with transformation equalization.· For the Single Input and Multiple Output(SIMO)channel,a novel cyclic delay receiver is designed for the SC-FDE system in uplink of the next generation wireless communication.The demand for the demodulation capacity of the Base Station(BS)is high,and the proposed scheme just solve this problem.In this scheme,the outage proformance is improved without increasing the demodulation complexity of the BS.Simultaneously,the full multi-path diversity gain is obtained and the coding gain is raised.Thus,the proposed scheme is a good scheme.· A novel Cyclic Delay Diversity transmission for V-OFDM system is proposed.This scheme can implement V-OFDM in Multiple Input Single Output(MISO)system,by transmitting the cyclically delay copies of the signal,to improve the diversity order gain and obtain more coding gain.Another advantage is that this scheme does not increase the complexity of the transmitter and the receiver,which is an outstanding scheme.The performance is analyzed by GMMDHA method,and the closed-form expression of the outage performance of the scheme is acquired.Based on this expression,the diversity order gain is derived.In the end,through simulation,it is proved that the proposed CDD-V-OFDM is an reliable scheme in the next generation wireless communication systems.· An achieving upper mutual information bound precoding scheme is proposed.Comparing with the available constellation rotate or desicion feedback equalization schemes,the proposed scheme can obtain full multi-path diversity and achieve mutual information bound,without increaseing the complexity of receiver,while the transmit complexity is only linearly proportional to the length of the block size.
