There are different degrees of reality in the school education that the education deviates from the essence of life.The important reason is that the teacher’s tooling,narrowing,and fractured understanding of the student’s life.Based on role of the teacher,take the attitude and method of understanding to face life,and then explore the ―Should Be‖ and ―Reality‖ teacher’s understanding of life,and to explore the practical way to understand the ideal form of the teacher’s life is this research The purpose of the game.Under the guidance of Marxist epistemology,the author,based on the logical frame of "ontology-fact--norm--improvement",studied the teachers’ understandings of life from the following aspects: analysis of connotations,education appeal,review on reality,ideal realm,the way of improving understanding ability,etc.First,the author carried out ontological exploration of teachers’ understandings of life and analyzed their connotations in theory.The study analyzed the understandings of intellectuality,practice and survival theoretically,and then illustrated the significance of understandings to life and the structure and process of understanding of life.The author believes that life feature is the fundamental characteristic of education.The process of education is not only the process of student’s growth,but also that of teachers’ self-expression of life.Therefore,the essence of education is to guide growth with understanding of life.The teachers’ understanding of life is mainly based on the student’s life.Additionally,the teachers’ understanding of life is for educational practice,in educational practice and deepened by educational practice,so education practice is the root of teachers’ understanding of life.Based on the analysis of the ontological connotations,the author investigated the teachers’ understanding of life in the educational practice from the problem-solving perspective.Through the induction of empirical facts,the author believes that the teachers’ understanding of life in educational practice is instrumentalized,narrow and gapped.This deviation of life understanding is directly related to the current materialistic desires and the utilitarian control orientation of the school.It is also influenced by the teachers’ educational practice modes and the self-consciousness and ability of understanding of life.On the normative standpoint,the study analyzed the ideal realm of teachers’ understanding of life.Based on universal educational value,the study constructed an ideal blueprint for teachers’ understanding of life,thus explaining what the teachers’ understanding of life should be.In the ideal realm of teachers’ understanding of life,teachers should exploit education cause to realize the value of their life,highly recognize the identity as teachers,view the purpose of education as the purpose of their life,and hold a firm life position in educational practice.In such realm,teachers’ understanding of life is not instrumental;they regard the value of life as the highest value and fully understands the dignity of life.Teachers no longer understand the life of students in a narrow way with a certain aspect of life expression;instead,based on the full category of life of students,they comprehensively consider the relevance of student life.Teachers no longer examine the current state of life separately,but understand life as a whole,meaning that they not only care about the past of the students,but also care for the possibilities of students’ future.In the ideal realm,teachers need to consciously clarify their existing understandings of life before conducting the specific educational practice,generate new understandings in the process of educational practice,and deepen the understanding of life through conscious reflection after practice.In other words,the process of teachers’ educational practice is the process where teachers consciously understand life.Therefore,the teachers’ understanding of life is consistent with their educational practice.The fundamental purpose of the research on teachers’ understanding of life is to improve the level of teachers’ understanding of it.The objective of this research is to advocate the normalized teachers’ understanding of life in ideal realm in educational practice and improve teachers’ ability to understand life other than just depicting the ideal realm.This author believes that to enhance teachers’ understanding of life,from the perspective of external conditions,emphasis should be laid on governance of campus that is committed to life and happiness in terms of notions,system and culture.In regard to teachers’ own factors,efforts should be made to improve the self-awareness of teachers’ understanding of life and improve the ability about this.To sum up,the improvement of the external education environment and the teachers’ own conscious efforts are necessary and sufficient conditions for improving the teachers’ understanding of life.The research promotes the mutual promotion of teachers’ life understanding and the educational practice,and the teacher’s educational practice will be more life-oriented.Teachers gradually form a reflective education practice based on the position of life.
