With the rapid development of modern information technology, many countries have entered the era of information development. In China, modern information technology has a profound impac t on various fields.Employment is the foundation of people's livelihood, the cornerstone of national development, and an important guarantee for improving people's lives. Therefore, the employment issue is of great significance to social development. With the continuous development of modern information technology, how will the widespread application of modern information technology affect the employment demand structure of China's labor force? The article will study this issue.First of all, this article introduces the research background and significance of the article. The previous relevant researches have been combed almost all these. Then,we introduce the research content and framework of the article and the innovation of the research.Subsequently, the article analyzes the status quo of modern inf ormation technology application in China based on relevant data.In the analysis of the status quo,it has been found that the application level of modern information technology in China has been rapidly increasing in recent years.Particularly, the industrial scale, user scale and industrial informationization scale of modern information technology have been greatly improved. After that, the article analyzes the internal mechanism of the impact of modern information technology application on the structure of labor demand. In this part, this research is based on the theory of technological progress and labor employment in classical economics and neoclassical economics, discusses the internal mechanism of the impact of modern information technology application on labor demand structure from three aspects: the overall effect of modern information technology application on labor demand, the skill bias effect of different labor demand structure and the spat ial spillover effect of labor demand structure.Next, based on relevant data, the article calculates the comprehensive indicator of modern information technology application in China. From the calculation results,it can be found that the application level of modern information technology in China has shown an obvious growth trend in recent years. In particular, the application level of modern information technology in various regions of China have dramatically differences. Then, the article analyzes the overall effect of modern information technology application on labor demand and the skill bias effect of labor demand structure in China using relevant data and empirical methods. In this part, the article first analyzes the overall status of China's labor structure in recent years through relevant data. The study found that although the low-skilled labor force is still the largest group of laborers in China, the growth rate of high-skilled labor is significantly higher than the counterpart of medium-skilled labor and low-skilled labor. After that, the article analyzes the overall effect of modern information technology application on labor demand and the skill bias effect of modern information technology application on labor demand structure by selecting the econometr ic model.Based on our empirical results,we can find that:(1)The application of modern information technology has a significant positive relationship with the total labor demand in China.(2)The application of modern information technology has significant positive relationships with high-skilled labor and medium-skilled labor in China.Particularly, the degree of significant correlation of high-skilled labor is higher than that of medium-skilled labor. On the other hand, the application of modern informat ion technology has a significant negative effect on low-skilled labor in China. After analyzing the overall effect of modern information technology application on China's labor demand and the skill bias effect of modern information technology applicat ion on China's labor demand structure. Moreover, this paper further analyzes the spatial spillover effect of modern information technology application on China's labor demand structure. In this part, the paper first analyzes the current situation of the labor structure in different regions of China based on relevant data.Baed on the analysis results,it can be found that the demand of low-skilled,medium-skilled and high-skilled labor in the eastern region is relatively higher than that those in other regions respectively. Then, this paper adapts spatial econometric model to analyze the spatial spillover effect of modern information technology application on China's labor demand structure.Baed on the empirical results,it is found that the application of modern information technology has significant spatial spillover effects on high-skilled,medium-skilled and low-skilled labor in China. Finally, based on the research in the previous chapters, this paper analyzes the problem of labor structure in China from the perspective of supply side. The research results show that there is a serious im balance in the supply and demand structure of labor in China. The main reasons for the imbalance are the large number of low-skilled laborers in China and the lack of educational resources per capita in China so on so forth.Furthermore, according to the existing problems, this paper proposes policy suggestions to solve related problems. At the end of the article, this paper summarizes the research work and research findings of the article.
