Research On TIFO Culture In European Professional Football Fields

Like modern professional football,TIFO culture originates in Europe and gradually becomes popular and influential all over the world.With the TIFO images as the main materialized carrier,it intuitively expresses the attitude,emotion and appeal of football fans with strong visual impact and artistic expression,and also attracts the attention of a wider range of media audiences.This research is based on the humanism methodology,drawing on the research methods of the scientism methodology,under the interpretation and criticism paradigm,comprehensively using the research methods such as documentation analysis,image content analysis,interview,field observsation,and using the qualitative analysis software NVivo to assist in coding and data analysis,with the TIFO image as the main analysis unit and based on the theory of Image Stratification and Carnival Culture,this paper makes an in-depth explanation and interpretation of TIFO culture.The main research conclusions are as follows:1.The external characteristics of TIFO images of European professional football fields are: mainly distributed in the Five Major League countries,and the number is growing gradually,especially in the European countries outside the Five Major League.The display scale of the tifo image can be divided into three types: Covering Part of the Stand,Covering the Whole Stand and Covering all the Stands.With the passage of time,the display scale has a trend of increasing.There are six types of TIFO image display modes,which are Large-Scale Color Painting,Mosaic,Combination of Color Painting and Mosaic,Banner Slogan,3D Stereo and Animation display.2.The connotative characteristics of TIFO images in European professional football fields are as follows: using image and text as information carriers,there are three combinations: Visual Image,Text Symbol and Combination of Image and Text.The characteristics of image information are shown in denotative and connotative image layer respectively.The verbal information shows the characteristics of "carnivalization of language".The relationship between image and text information can be classified into three types: Anchoring(text supports image),Illustration(image supports text)and Relay(text is equal to image).TIFO image shows three emotional colors: Positive,Negative and Fuzzy.TIFO image display mainly includes six themes,of which Sports,Cultural Tradition and Regional Characteristics themes usually show positive emotional color;Political and Society,Literary Works and Daily Life themes are more used to show negative emotional color.3.The reasons for the popularity of TIFO culture in European professional football fields can be analyzed from the perspectives of the characteristics of professional football,economy,politics and social culture.The reasons for the popularity of FIFO culture in the field of professional football are the characteristics of the venues and stands,the rhythm of the game and the popularity of Derby culture.Economically,the promotion of social industrial production capacity,club season ticket sales strategy and the consumption capacity of ultras fans have laid a material foundation for the popularity of TIFO culture.Politically,the tradition of "Civil Society" and "City State" in Europe and the advancement of European Integration are the preconditions for the popularity of TIFO culture in Europe.Culturally,the popularity of TIFO culture in Europe also benefits from the Carnival Cultural heritage and profound urban art atmosphere of European society.4.The positive role of TIFO culture in European professional football fields is to enhance the sense of participation of fans,encourage practitioners to improve themselves,improve the club's popularity and consolidate the foundation of football development.Its negative effects are manifested in populism,racism,stadium violence and gender discrimination.5.Through the analysis of the current situation of TIFO culture in China's professional football fields,it is found that there are many deficiencies in the development of TIFO culture in China: in the aspect of external characteristics,the excessive concentration of TIFO image display in the developed areas of economy and culture,short development time,small display scale,monotonous display mode,and failure to attract the participation of the majority of fans.In the aspect of connotative features,it fails to give full play to the anchoring and relaying functions of verbal information,the denotative image layer is lack of diversity,the connotative image layer is lack of artistic cultivation and cultural heritage,and the creativity is insufficient,and the theme is limited.The Enlightenment of FIFO culture in European professional football matches to China lies in: at the level of external characteristics,the popularity of FIFO culture and the diversity of display methods should be improved;at the level of connotative characteristics,different information carriers should be used reasonably and effectively to present more cultural themes and enrich the spiritual connotation of TIFO culture.It should also be awared of the negative elements in the European TIFO culture,and avoid the risks and traps caused by its negative effects.
