“Moral education and people cultivation” of connotative development of higher education is to train socialist builders and successors.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated: “we must fully implement the educational policies of the party,and carry out the fundamental task of moral education and people cultivation,and develop quality education and educational fairness,and cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physique and beauty.”This report profoundly interprets the essential mission of the education,and it is to train college students to become the versatile successors of the socialist cause.Therefore,how to play the function of moral cultivation in the education has become an important task in universities in the new situation.“Moral education and people cultivation” is an important measure for the connotative development of higher education in the new era.The connotative education is the requirement of the reform and development of the current education.It is guided by the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics,and regards “moral education and people cultivation” as the fundamental task,and insists education serves the people and the socialist construction,so it has positive significance for improving the quality and reform of the education,strengthening quality-oriented education and socialist core values.“Moral education and people cultivation” is the spiritual guarantee to promote socialist productivity.The socialism with Chinese characteristics has promoted the innovation of the productivity and the economic base.The result of the advanced productivity will inevitably open a new road for human development.in this case,the issue of how to be a“person”and what kind of“person”shows urgency.Laborers with socialist consciousness and morality are important resources for national rejuvenation and social development.“moral education and people cultivation” inherits China’s fine traditional culture and practices socialist core values,and will better carry forward the Chinese spirit,and opposes decadent ideas from the west and the reform.Moral education and people cultivation can effectively improve the qualities of the whole nation,to help college students form a correct world view,life values,and further promote the harmonious development of two civilizations,and can provide an intellectual support for advanced socialist productivity.From the perspective of historical materialism,the socialism with Chinese characteristics is the concrete form of the development of social history,while human development is the fundamental purpose and basic content of the development,the ultimate purpose of socialist revolution and construction.The humanistic spirit,scientific spirit and the spirit of university are the important spiritual resources of the students,the education and new socialist civilization,which show the vitality of university,the party’s mass line and the core values of people-centered,and this will promote the progress of students and society.It is the concrete embodiment of the party’s ideological line and plays a value orientation in higher education and related social development.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the background and significance of the topic,the current research and methods,the innovation and difficulties.The second part is the way to realize “moral education and people cultivation” in the connotative development of higher education.This part mainly expounds the theoretical and practical basis of the connotative education.It shows that the connotative development is the need to carry out the construction of the socialism and “moral education and people cultivation” under the guidance of Marxism and the revitalizing theory,and breaking through the traditional extended education.The
