In a sense,Dewey reformed education on the basis of transforming the concept of "experience"in traditional philosophy.Therefore,it is very important to correctly understand Dewey’s "experience"for a clear understanding of Dewey’s educational thought and even the whole philosophy.Dewey’s aesthetics plays a central role in his general theory of experience,and the aesthetic dimension of experience is the key to understanding any thought in Dewey’s philosophy.Exploring Dewey’s aesthetic theory with experience as its core is a unique way and an important supplement to Dewey’s educational thought.This paper holds that Dewey’s philosophy of aesthetic experience provides another choice for education.Taking education as art and life as art all indicate that the ideal of experience is illuminated.Democracy is the understanding of one’s own community according to the art of human behavior,and the realization of education is a way of realizing the ideal of experience through the help of the group.Education is also an understanding of the meaning of human life and how to form intelligent action.Dewey suggested that the education significance of aesthetic experience of cognition in education concept also played a warning,education will undoubtedly placed in the larger context of human thinking has brought great influence behind the educational theory and practice is to re enact life experience oriented.As a way of life,education is for the better life and better growth of human beings,and for the more complete liberation of human beings.This clearly explains the vision that human beings care about.These horizons provide the context for determining the meaning of education.A pendulum in front of the challenge is,how human beings understand the inclusive context and how human beings practice deep implication of this theory?The perfect choice of aesthetic experience and education is a more sensible choice.The two aim is to rebuild the vision of human life.The two combine the characteristics of aesthetics and education to transform group experience.This paper explores the relationship between aesthetic experience and education from the perspective of Dewey’s empiricism of art and tries to reveal the rich implicartion of Dewey’s theory of aesthetic experience in educational practice.The introduction introduces the origin of the topic,the current status of relevant research at home and abroad,concept definition,research ideas and research methods and significance.The first chapter clarifies the connotation of Dewey’s aesthetic experience theory.In reality,human experience is often fragmented,incomplete and incomplete.Dewey put forward the concept of"aesthetic experience" to mark the perfect stage of experience development,so as to exemplify the highly coherence and integrity of experience.It can be said that aesthetic experience is the core of Dewey’s empiricism and its originality.Dewey further clarified the artistic experience is a perfect means of implementation,aesthetic experience and art for Dewey,meaning roughly the same,according to Dewey,art and aesthetics is to construct "a" service experience,but "art" focuses on the aesthetics as a satisfactory form of expression."one experience" is presented when "doing" and"undergoing" reach a perfect and harmonious state.This chapter first discusses the difference between Dewey’s experiential philosophy and traditional philosophy,and points out the essentials of his experience philosophy,so as to comb the rich connotation of Dewey’s concept of experience.Further,the characteristics of experience are discussed from the perspective of aesthetics,which indicates that aesthetics is the continuation of daily life experience,and is the characteristic of experience being fulfilled,and it presents an experience meaning.Then,from the artistic dimension of experience,it illustrates the example of art as an example of experience,art as a means of building a complete experience,and the role of art in transforming social experience and constructing the ideal of life meaning.The second chapter discusses Dewey’s aesthetic experience theory and education.The understanding of experience from the angle of art and aesthetics is often the subject neglected by people.In fact,this is the uniqueness of Dewey’s philosophy.He believes that philosophy should not focus solely on the cognitive value of experience,but should put the engineering of human knowledge in the broader context of human life engineering.Comparing education with life is Dewey’s deep conformance between the two,which is perhaps the most profound thing in Dewey’s thought.Dewey saw that all two are closely related to human happiness.In Dewey,compared with traditional education,experience is more profound and meaningful,and it can give people more comprehensive and rich inspiration for life.Therefore,on the one hand,it shows that education is faced with arduous tasks.We should take aesthetic experience as an example and strive to make human beings get better life experience.On the other hand,education should be regarded as an art and the highest art of shaping human beings.This chapter firstly discusses the connotation of the philosophy of education guided by experience,which is manifested in the following aspects:first,the direction of life of education;second,the direction of practice of education;and third,the humanistic feelings of education.Secondly,it discusses the connotation of educational thought based on aesthetic theory,which is embodied in the continuous and deep development of education experience,and the transformation of individual and group experience in education.The third chapter reveals the lack of aesthetic experience in education.First of all,it points out the expression of aesthetic deficiency in education.One is the lack of art education in the stage of basic education,the disconnection between technology and expression,the lack of artistic experience,the lack of artistic atmosphere and spirit in schools,and so on.The second is the lack of educational art,which is characterized by excessive "doing",relatively little "receiving",structural imbalance between "doing" and "receiving",the separation of the knowledge imparted from the students’experience,and so on.It is pointed out that the reason of aesthetic experience lack in education lies in the cultural and practical separation of educational value,the differences between educational process and purpose,and the fault between the acceptance of knowledge and the realization of knowledge.In short,some of the problems in education revealed by cases are not conducive to the overall development of people and personality independence,pointing out that education must be based on experience,art,aesthetic education will be our unchanging purpose.The fourth chapter discusses the educational reform of the aesthetic experience dimension.If education can develop towards the direction of a complete experience,the artistic way of existence will be restored to the children’s life world.Dewey’s ideals of aesthetics and education will be realized.The education of aesthetic experience dimension is aimed at better promoting the all-round development of human beings.Aesthetic oriented education requires all schools and activities must aim at providing direct experience.It is necessary to place the inquiry into the cultural background of the whole society,and put it on the understanding of people.All subjects and methods are the problems of human life,and the relationship between each subject and the human mind.With the greatest efforts to provide children with aesthetic satisfaction,it means that we should not only concern about the development of knowledge education,but also pay attention to the educational preaching and the emotional spirit of educating people,so that we can restore the educated to the true meaning of life.Human beings do not give in to things beyond themselves,but put their goodness in their unique context with their greatest efforts.In this context,man is his own goal.It is the value and significance of education itself in the growth of educational life and the value of human beings.Concretely speaking,the realization of human beings should be emphasized in the purpose of education,and aesthetic factors should be carried out in the contents and methods of education.It is worth mentioning that Dewey’s aesthetic experience pays special attention to the active participation of human beings,and thinks that interest,imagination,emotion,reflection and judgment are directly related to the course teaching.Finally,the thesis refers to scholars’ criticism of Dewey,and points out that the definition of experience is beyond the influence of traditional epistemology,and it touches the product that is directly related to ordinary human life,and understands experience as a meaningful response to the world’s participation.However,Dewey does not think the cognitive value of philosophy should be limited to experience,he pointed out that human cognitive engineering should be put in a broad and rich human life in the greater context to explore,should take the knowledge as the process of learning and inquiry,rather than a process to accept the truth,he will be extended to the understanding of the concept of prag)matism human speci:fic education and life.In order not to experience mainly as a cognitive form of discussion,not to the subjective or reduction theory to deal with experience,this requires a theory,all situational characteristics and transaction characteristics in a panoramic way to maintain experience,and needs,provide context meaning and value of human life to the reaction the experience of substantive issues for the pursuit of ideal knowledge.Knowledge is possible because we respond to the world as a project to construct human meaning.In this process,the natural instincts of human beings participate in the world with the realization of aesthetic perception and meaning,and this is just explained in the aesthetic experience.In a word,Dewey’s intention is to promise a vision of human life that is both creative and critical.Up to now,the essence of aesthetics in Dewey’s philosophy will still be accompanied by modern people towards a better tomorrow.The illumination of aesthetic spirit in education will be more brilliant.
