The purposes of this study is to explore the female roles in Hakka life and customs in Fujian and Taiwan.It is including the external role norms and internal psychological perception.The views emphasis on the rights of women's express opinion in Hakka culture and to examine the diversification of Hakka culture in Fujian and Taiwan.This dissertation by means of literature analysis and field studies to discussing the role of Hakka women in life etiquette,folk beliefs,and cultural education customs.This study found out the following features:First,Hakka women in life etiquette or taboos that parts of the conflict between folklore norms and life practice,it was not identical for comply with traditional cultural and psychological feelings.In Hakka society under the patriarchal structure,women unfettered by folk culture which beneficial to establish female subjectivity.Second,“ruren”(??)was a glorious symbol in the past but it is a gender inequality characterization right now.In gender awareness rise,Fujian and Taiwan Hakka women whose full names are recorded in genealogy now.Moreover,liug?doi?(??),the Hakka ethnic groups in southern Taiwan,women made Hakka Dish Flowers(??)for dedicated to gods and have had a faith and self-consolation.Third,the contribution of Hakka women to the family and society also plays an important role.Their contribution cannot go unnoticed about the jobs of cultural education.Finally,Hakka folklore has changed in Fujian and Taiwan.Fujian has retained its traditional elements more than Taiwan did it.Many folklore events are integrated into festivals and do those grandest in Taiwan.It is obviously that Hakka culture on the cross straits is diversity.
