The theater reflects the temperament of the city and reflects the spirit and connotation of the urban society.The theater is integrated with the urban environment it relies on,and it is more closely related to the characteristics of the times and urban culture.The study of this paper is carried out according to the structure of function and influence--construction and shaping--operation and guarantee.The first and second chapters of this paper expound the classification,function and influence of theater on urban culture.From the concept of theater and urban culture,the origin and classification of theater are explored from the perspectives of linguistic philology and linguistic anthropology,and the concept and connotation of urban culture are analyzed from the perspective of sociology Firstly,from the perspective of function and form,the Chinese and foreign theaters with various forms and styles are divided into three types: professional theater,multifunctional theater and theater cluster,and their respective morphological characteristics are expounded.Through the analysis of the etymology and the combing of the history of theater,the author believes that theater is not only a physical space established for performance,but also cultural space,which is related to drama,spirit and culture,as well as the mutual influence,mutual restriction and interaction with the urban culture of different stages and levels.In Shanghai during the period of the republic of China as the typical case,the author reveals the influence of theatre on urban culture,believes that theatre has changed the “opera” in traditional Chinese custom,highlighted the city's folk customs and values,caused people pursuit of fashion,has given rise to the strict and orderly drama management system,accelerated the Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges and collisions,exerted broad and profound influence on the formation and development of city culture.At present,China'surban development has a good momentum,but there are still many problems worthy of attention,such as the lack of promotion of urban spirit,landscape construction,and city brand awareness is weak.So it is significant to improve urban functions,promote urban culture,strengthen spiritual civilization and other aspects by creating theatrical and theater-centered cultural products.Through the construction of software and hardware,we should make the theater as the cultural name card and “appearance level responsibility” of a city,and also play a special role in revealing the connotation,temperament and charm of the city.In terms of analyzing and solving problems,the author first explores the role of theater in coping with urban culture from the perspectives of principles,paths and strategies from the two dimensions of "material" and "spirit",and how to play such a role.The third chapter demonstrates the cultural space identity of theater from the perspective of imagery,and puts forward suggestions on how to construct the humanistic identity of theater based on CIS theory.The fourth chapter has made the detailed discussion to the theater performance participation about city aesthetics construction starts from the perspective of city humanity history and the city spirit cultural environment.The author believes that the design and performance content of theater are significant in improving the city image and shaping the city spirit.On the one hand,as an important element of urban planning and layout,tangible theater,as a building,is involved in the process of shaping the urban image.The cultural identity of architectural image,open interactive experience and construction of the humanistic identification system of urban landscape all highlight the importance of the theater design.On the basis of following the above principles,the design should deeply explore the urban concept,based on regional characteristics,through the study of the city's natural history,local conditions and customs,advantages and disadvantages,highlight the spirit and temperament of the city,so as to make it conform to the public aesthetic taste,natural environment and humanities character.On the other hand,theater is also the carrying space of stage art.As the construction symbol of urban spirit,it plays an important role in highlighting and cultivating urban spirit.Therefore,on the one hand,theater performance should strengthen the fashion of“field” and form a dynamic composite structure with music,vision and architecture by virtualization,digitalization and other diversified modern technologies.It is more important torealize the deduce and cultural heritage of the city,strengthen the aboriginality and personalized of “drama”,in the city of humanistic history should keep pace with the times,when fresh contemporary lives as subject matter,to show the survival state of the modern city,lead the people in the spirit of the art of positive,shaping,make the theater into their lives,to become the spiritual home of people.A good operating condition is the fundamental guarantee for constructing the city image and shaping the city spirit of the theater,and is also the key for the theater to be full of vitality and vigor.At present,due to the constraints of the public welfare bottleneck,the lack of management thinking and strategy,as well as the problems of the surrounding environment,limited use function,and too high maintenance cost,the huge theater construction and operation investment have not received the ideal profit effect.Therefore,from the perspective of industrialization,chapter five expounds the interactive relationship between theater operation and urban cultural investment,cultural assets and cultural service system,analyzes the operation mechanism of the coordinated development of theater and urban economy,and puts forward reasonable suggestions on the path for theater to participate in the coordinated development of urban economy according to the analysis results.The author argues that the reform of the operating system of the theater must enable the theater to obtain greater“autonomy” and realize the separation of ownership and operation right.On this basis,an innovative mode of public cultural service integrating theater performance,public benefit performance and social performance are constructed.Only in this way,can the public welfare and industry of the theater be balanced,so as to better serve the construction of urban culture.
