Research On Chu Songs Study Of Su Xuelin

The research object of this thesis is the Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin.In the late 19~thh century and the early 20~thh century,the research in Chu Songs of a history of over 2000 years entered the transformation period.On one hand,it inherited the methods and concepts of the scholarly research of the traditional Chu Songs,on the other hand,it also absorbed the views and research methods of the western academics.With a variety of Chu Songs research masters in 20~thh century and a number of achievements,Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin is one of the more special ones.Through a comparison between the foreign culture and Chinese culture,it has adopted the view of“Foreign Cultural Theory”to explain the works of Qu Yuan and make a conclusion that the global cultures originate from one source.To carry out the discourse from four aspects like the thought and background of Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin,the textual research,the myth research and the history research,this thesis has integrated the scholar criticism and the Chu Songs research,to reflect the whole image of Su Xuelin Chu Songs Study and make the corresponding assessment.Besides the introduction,the whole article is divided into five chapters:Chapter One is about the ideological implication and production background of the Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin.For Its ideological implication,the first one is the ideological foundation of“Foreign Cultural Theory”;the second one is the Confucian destiny thought of the life pursuit about death and living;the third is the nationalistic thoughts.And the production background has included the personal background of Su Xuelin like the triple cultural background and the personal background of the academic,and the development of Chu Songs Study in 20~thh century and the historical background of the self-conscientiousness construction of the modern academics.Chapter Two,it’s about the textual research of Su Xuelin Chu Songs Study.The core of the textual research is to verify the myth and the history,so the research ideology of“Foreign Cultural Theory”has been expressed.Su Xuelin has teased up all of the works of Qu Yuan sentence by sentence.In accordance with the foreign-land cultural knowledge,Questions for Heaven has been tidied up and explained,while the words of The Songs of Chu also have been verified individually.Chapter Three is the myth research of Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin.This is the most important part of Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin,including the geography myths in The Songs of Chu,such as the nine-heaven god system of Nine Songs,the myth research of Questions for Heaven and the Riddle of Kunlun,and the myths involved with the West Asia,India and Greece.Through the comparison research of the foreign myths and the Chinese myths in The Songs of Chu,Su Xuelin has tried to describe out a complete“Chinese Myth System”,and such a research method has shown her consciousness in the construction of Chinese modern academics.Chapter Four is about the historical research of the Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin.With several literature history masterpieces,Su Xuelin has borne a certain historiography mind and quality.By making use of the research methods of ancient history,she has thought all of the contents of the works of Qu Yuan came from the foreign lands.It’s because of the coming again of the foreign-land culture to China in the Warring States Time and Qu Yuan has accepted the foreign-land culture and knowledge.Based on the spreading and influence of the foreign-land culture in the era of Qu Yuan,it has probed into the passing-down and development of The Songs of Chu through the life story and the creative works of Qu Yuan.Su Xuelin also has undertaken a textual research on the history of Xia-Shang-Zhou dynasties in Questions for Heaven.Chapter Five is the value assessment of the Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin.By systematically teasing up the assessment history of the academic field on the Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin,the evaluations of different scholars have been combined together to probe into and assess on the research methods and academic character of Chu Songs Study of Su Xuelin,to summarize the value and disadvantages of Chu Songs Study and the influence and enlightenment sof the modern Chu Songs Study and the academic research.
