Positive Psychology Towards Diversification: Problems And Transcendence

Positive psychology is a kind of trend of thought in the field of current psychology research.Since its introduction,Western positive psychology has always grasped the international discourse power and led the development of positive psychology in the world.However,there are many problems that need to be explored.The existence of these problems is not only related to the development of positive psychology itself in the context of Western culture,but also to positive psychology in other cultural contexts.From the perspective of establishing a positive psychology of globalization,researchers should not only limit their horizons to positive psychology in the West,but also pay attention to the development of positive psychology in other cultural contexts.In the context of multiculturalism,it puts forward requirements for the localization of positive psychology.From the perspective of multiculturalism,in order to achieve the globalization of positive psychology,it is necessary to develop psychology in the context of their respective local cultures in order to achieve an equal dialogue in the future.Western positive psychology can be regarded as a local psychology in the Western context.The positive psychology in the West currently has certain problems to be solved,which has a certain relationship with its cultural background.From a multicultural perspective,combining Eastern culture,especially Chinese culture,can provide some reference.In addition,even if we find and try to solve the problem of positive psychology in the West,we cannot directly apply it to the Chinese cultural background,it is also necessary to try to explore positive psychology in China based on Chinese culture.Western positive psychology can be used as a premise and foundation for conducting positive psychology in China.It stands on the shoulders of positive psychology in the West and proposes the development direction of positive psychology in China,which in turn promotes the development of positive psychology.Then try to provide a prerequisite for building a positive psychology of globalization.First,explore the problems of positive psychology in the West.Positivepsychology has a series of problems to be solved in terms of research concepts,research objects,research contents,research methods and research subjects.From the perspective of multicultural psychology,the problems of positive psychology are as follows: On the research concept,positive psychology is too absolute for the division of “positive-negative”,and think that the opposite of positive is negative.On the research object,positive psychology lack of considering the authenticity and value of human beings.On the research content,positive psychology has a clear Western cultural imprint on the related concepts.On the research methods,positive psychology over-expresses the research methods of positivism,resulting in the myth of selection and application.On the research subjects,positive psychology believes that subject and object are absolutely separated,and there are contradictions in value orientation.Second,try to integrate multiculturalism with positive psychology.The problems of positive psychology can be traced back to its cultural background.It is the Western cultural background that has led to the thinking of positive psychology research.Therefore,try to re-examine and explore the research concepts,research objects,research content,research methods and research subjects of positive psychology from a multi-dimensional perspective.In the process of settlement,researchers can fully integrate the Eastern culture,especially the Chinese culture,and re-interpret the cultural issues related to positive psychology,which is conducive to the better development of positive psychology.The enlightenment brought by Chinese culture to positive psychology includes: On the research concept,the dialectical thinking of integrating Chinese culture does not divide the absolute binary opposition between positive and negative,but considers that things are in constant change and flow.Positive and negative are not static and need to try to find positive boundary conditions.On the research object,on the one hand,don't just limit the research to the factuality of the psychological discovery,but researchers can explore the authenticity of the psychology more.Therefore,researchers can increase the study of psychological life in addition to the study of psychological phenomena.On the other hand,it is necessary to pay attention to the psychological characteristics of each group,especially the psychological characteristics of minority groups,and take into account the value of people.On the research content,researchers must strive to make a clear definition of the issue under study.The selection of the research content should bemore in line with the psychological characteristics of the national people,and also pay attention to the differences of similar concepts in other cultural backgrounds.On the research methods,not only use the empirical research,but also use more qualitative research,and appropriate introduction of research methods with Chinese characteristics,such as physical research.On the research subjects,it is not limited to the form of the subject and the object,but the possibility of the integration of the subject and the object can be considered.In the process of research,researchers can pay attention to the influence of emotion and value,rather than pursuing absolute objectivity and neutrality.Finally,the localization of positive psychology in China needs to draw on a multicultural perspective.To carry out positive psychology research in China,the first thing that needs to be done is to carry out the localization movement of positive psychology.The localization of positive psychology does not mean to limit the vision to the local cultural background.It is more important to learn from multicultural psychology,it can help the researchers study,understand and grasp the local psychological behavior better.From the perspective of multiculturalism,the localization movement of positive psychology in China can be explored from three aspects.The first is to move the positive psychology that has arisen in the West into the background and life of the local community.This process needs to adjust some of the problems of Western positive psychology so that it can conduct better research in the context of Chinese culture.The second is to explore the positive psychological thoughts in Chinese native culture,analyze the thoughts of the three cores of Chinese traditional culture,and explore the positive psychological thoughts in traditional culture.The third is to create positive psychology based on new forms of local culture and life.This needs to be explored in combination with traditional and modern psychological thoughts,based on the new psychology of Chinese original theoretical innovation.Put forward research on four aspects of mental cultivation,psychological resource,psychological harmony and psychological growth.Among them,central cultivation is a basic premise,psychological resource is the most needed foundation,psychological harmony is a necessary motivation and psychological growth is a pursuit goal.The distinction between Chinese and Western in positive psychology is not tosplit positive psychology.It is hoped that on the basis of trying to solve the problems that need to be explored and developed,it will provide a possibility for positive psychology to move towards more diversified development,and also lay a foundation for achieving equal dialogue and exchanges in the future and realizing the globalization of positive psychology.
