The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the film thoughts of famous French philosopher Gilles Deleuze.Gilles Deleuze is a key figure of French Postmodernism Philosophy.His thoughts have made a great influence on all fields of Humanities in today’s society.In addition to his philosophical research,Deleuze has written a large number of articles on other philosophers,writers,as well as literature works and films.In 1983 and 1985 he finished two books,which devoted to film: Cinema 1:The Movement-Image and Cinema 2:The Time-Image.Based on the philosophical perspective of the film itself,and emerges as a philosophical aspect,Deleuze’s film theory expands the perspective of film theory research as well as promotes the interpretation of specific film phenomena by exploration and promotion of the film’s own characteristics.Deleuze has written a lot of books throughout his career,such as his great early monograph Difference and Repetition,or his more famous text later in his career,Anti-Oedipus and A Thousand Plateaus,co-authored with Felix Guattari.This thesis is not a biography of Gilles Deleuze or a study of his philosophical thoughts.I hope to explore the theory of Deleuze’s film philosophy and its influence through the interpretation of Deleuze’s masterpiece on film philosophy,Cinema 1:The Movement-Image and Cinema 2: The Time-Image. |
