Quanzhou dialect has a long history.Due to multiple immigrants,Quanzhou dialect has not become pure and has many levels. This paper discusses the historical evolution of Quanzhou dialect for more than 300 years. It trys to compare the history documents included“Paizhangzhiyin”《拍掌知音》“Huiyinmiaowu”《汇音妙悟》"Chinese English Dictionary of the Vernacular or Spoken Langueage of Amoy, with the principal variations of Chang Chew and Chin Chew dialects"《厦英大辞典》,"Beijing chinese Letters"《中国字母北京切音合订》with the modern Quanzhou dialect such as the dialect of Licheng,Hui’an,Anxi,Yongchun,Jinjiang,Nanan,Dehua t,and the Tongan. The conclusion is drawn. For the past 300 years, the[dz]initials of Quanzhou dialect homogenized to[l].The vowel of Quanzhou dialect with-?gradually disappeares the head vowel, nasalized finals gradually increased, and the evolution of the tone was closely related to the voicing of the ancient initials. This article also examines the historical evolution of the partial Quanzhou dialect in Taiwan over the past 120 years. It also trys to compare the history documents included“Taiwanshiwuyinzimuxiangjie”《台湾十五音字母详解》and“Chinese Romanized Dictionary of the Formosan Vernacular”《中西字典》with the modern partial Quanzhou dialect in Taiwan such as Taibei,Lugang,Magong,Sanxia,Xinzhu,Jinmen. It was found that in more than 120 years, the partial Quanzhou dialect in Taiwan was under the influence of partial Zhangzhou dialect, mixed dialect and dominant dialect, the initial[dz]gradually expanded its scope and became the mainstream of the development of the partial Quanzhou dialect.Lugang,Sanxia,Xinzhu keep[?]、[?]、[i??]、[??]、[?u?]、[m?].However,Both the“Taiwanshiwuyinzimuxiangjie”《台湾十五音字母详解》and the“Chinese Romanized Dictionary of the Formosan Vernacular”《中西字典》don’t have those vowels. We also compared the modern Fujian Quanzhou dialect phonology with Taiwan’s partial Quanzhou dialect, and found that the difference is mainly influenced by language contact. The partial Quanzhou dialect in Taiwan was influenced by partial Zhangzhou dialect, mixed Minnan dialect and Xiamen dialect, which produced a partial Quanzhou dialect that was different from that in Fujian quanzhou.
