Tusaka Touyou(1757-1825).as a junior samurai.eventually becamethe first generation of inspector in Youzao Pavillion Tokugawa Shogunate Jin-vassan School of official Studies in the Japanese Edo period.As a representative figure of Confucianism in Edo period of Japan.Longhua(now Osaka and its vicinity).he governed the classics.criticizing poems and giving lectures based on the Confucian thought of eclectic school.Tusaka Touyou lived through three generations of General Tokugawa.namely.the ninth generation of General Tokugawa(1745-1760).the tenth generation of General Tokugawa Ieharu(1760-1786).and the eleventh generation of General Tokugawa(1786-1837).During this period.Tokugawa shogunate just experienced the eighth generation of General Tokugawa Yoshimune(1648-1751).who had effective insurance reform.the so-called Restoration Period.During his lifetime.Tokugawa shogunate experienced the Tianming Famine(1782-1788)and the Kyoto Fire(1788).In academic standpoint.the tough broad-government reform was carried out.and all schools except Zhu Zixue were banned from schools based on Ban on different Learning(1790).At the same time.the eclectic school sprang up based on
