Research On Affirmative Construal Of Negative Form In Modern Chinese

Under normal circumstances,the affirmative category and the negative category each perform their own duties,and a certain real semantics has corresponding negative forms corresponding to it.At this time,the affirmative form and the negative form are strictly opposite in form and content.However,in the diachronic development of language,even in a certain synchronic phase,a negative form with a negative mark can achieve an affirmative construal,while an affirmative form can also achieve a negative construal.The former is the object to be researched in this paper,that is,“an affirmative construal of negative form”in modern Chinese.This thesis is a dynamic study of the phenomenon of affirmative construal of modern Chinese negation under the guidance of the theory of interactive linguistics,and use multiple linguistic theories comprehensively,in the process of application,the description of linguistic phenomena is based on structural linguistics,the explanation of the phenomenon is based on the cognitive linguistics,grammaticalization,and construction grammar of the functional school.The complexity of linguistic phenomena makes it difficult for a single theory to implement and solve all the linguistic phenomena observed.Therefore,this thesis will use a variety of theories and analytical methods.Under the main line of affirmative construal of negative forms,l will adhere to the problem orientation and aim at interpretation.There are not many negative words commonly used in modern Chinese,and no matter in terms of function and grammatical features,there are many differences in the function of the whole negative system.The organizational structure of this thesis will be based on the category of negative words.According to this,the full text is composed of the following seven chapters.Chapter 1:Introduction.It introduces the reasons and research value of the topic,reviews the research status,and illustrates the research methods and sources of corpus.Chapter 2:The types of affirmative construal in negative category and negative form.This chapter briefly reviews the research on the negative category and discusses the correspondence between negative category and negative form.It divides the basic types of affirmative construal in negative forms from the symmetrical angle of affirmation and negation,and expounds whether there is a direct and inevitable derivative relationship between affirmative and negative two opposite expressions in the same semantic background.Chapter 3:Research on affirmative construal of negative form with negative marking“bu”participation.Based on the three contexts of doubt,echo determination and degree prominence,it conducts a case-by-case study on the phenomenon of affirmative construal of negative forms generated by different contexts.the case of affirmative recognition of the negative forms generated by different contexts is studied in a case-by-case manner.The key points in this chapter are“Bujiu”、“Bushi”、“Kebu（shi）”、“Buyongshuo”、“Haobu AP”、““bu+VP_passive””、“Buxianghua”,etc.In many cases,both individuality and commonality are exhibited.The most positive factor of commonality is context.This is the main basis for the research of the three dimensions of doubt,echo and degree.Chapter 4:Research on affirmative construal of negative form with negative marking“Mei”participation.This chapter focuses on two cases,one is the same construal of affirmation and negation of“Mei VP Qian/VP Qian”in the viewpoint shift,and the other is the subjectivization of the speculative mark“Meide（shi）”.The former is a synchronic phenomenon,and the latter is a result of diachronic grammaticalization.Currently,it is limited to oral use in some dialects in the north.In this chapter,the problem of negative and positive interpretation of“chadianer mei VP”is further discussed.Chapter 5:Research on affirmative construal of negative form of the“Bie X”that is not expected.This chapter examines the same construal of affirmation and negation of the speculative mark“Bieshi/Biebushi”and“（Dangxin）VP/Bie VP”expressing goodwill reminder.Regardless of speculation or reminders,they have moved away from negation and basically realized the transformation to subjective affirmation.The subjectivity of the affirmative construal of negative form of the“Bie X”is expressed as the non-expectation of the speaker’s psychology.Chapter 6:Several important language causal features about affirmative construal of negative form.The case-centered discussion is further theoretically analyzed and upgraded from the perspective of general linguistics.From the discrete cases,this chapter summarizes several language essential features of the affirmative construal of negative form,so that the special research with Chinese as the core has the theoretical significance of ordinary linguistics.This chapter focuses on the influence of factors on affirmative construal of negative form,such as subjective modality,omission of words or phrases,pragmatic reasoning,psychological viewpoint,combination of language and form,Light and heavy voice.Chapter 7:The conclusion.This chapter summarizes the research conclusions of this paper,points out the shortcomings and looks forward to the future research directions.Affirmative construal of negative form is a grand subject,and the future development direction is a common-oriented general linguistic study.
