A Study On The Shandong Dialect In The Ming And Qing Dynasties

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,many rhyme books appeared,which reflect the Shandong dialect,and the relevant research results are very abundant,these excellent results are very valuable materials for the research development of the Shandong dialect.A Study on the Shandong Rhyme Books in Ming and Qing Dynasties written by ZhangHongkui and A Phonetic Study on the Shandong Dialect in Qing Dynasty written by ZhangShuzheng are the important books about the Shandong dialect rhyme books research,from which we can have a general understanding of the Shandong dialect during Ming and Qing Dynasties.In recent years,with the deeper dig of relevant materials,with the expanding scope and the refinement of the modern Shandong dialect survey,the academic circle has a more detailed description on the Shandong dialect.Based on these research results,we reorganize the relevant materials on the Shandong dialect,which are not systematically studied,take full advantage of the investigated materials and research achievements on the modern Shandong dialect,try to explore the evolutive trace of the Shandong dialect,so that we can lay a foundation for the construction of the four hundred years' Shandong dialect history since the end of Ming Dynasty.In this thesis,we put the Shandong dialect materials in Ming and Qing Dynasties into the background of the Shandong rhyme books history,the Shandong dialect history and the Northern Mandarin phonological history,and choose the Shandong rhyme books in Ming and Qing Dynasties as the key research contents,then we master the style and the character of the phonetic system about these rhyme books,refer to the relevant research results about the modern Northern Mandarin,the modern Shandong dialect,the Shandong dialect island and the phonetic materials of foreign literature,make a systematic investigation on the evolution of initial consonant in Shandong dialect for nearly four hundred years by the horizontal and vertical comparison of materials.We conduct the study from four aspects mainly:Firstly,to collect the literature and the research results about the Shandong dialect comprehensively and classify them by the time period,then reorganize the relevant research materials systematacially,summarize the current research state and make clear our research orientation.Secondly,based on the research results of scholars,we make a supplementary to the recordation of existing Shandong rhyme books in Ming and Qing Dynasties.We choose 18 different rhyme books materials on the Shandong dialect,reorganize their basic information,compare the similarities and differences of phonetic structure,and clarify the inherent relationship of these rhyme books,draw the map.Then we illustrate our point on the nature of these Shandong rhyme books by their style,purpose and the quantity of Shandong dialect.Thirdly,to emphatically explore the initial consonant system of the Shandong rhyme books in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on the representative rhyme books or rhyme maps,we make a detailed research on some important initial consonant issues:1.the division and combination of zhizhuangzhang initial consonant in mediaeval times;2.the pronunciation of ri initial consonant in mediaeval times;3.the division and mixing of XiYin and JianTuan Yin in the series of jingjian initial consonant;4.the division and combination of yingyuyiwei initial consonant.Fourthly,to explore the evolutive trace of initial consonant in the Shandong dialect since Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on the evolutive analysis of initial consonant in the Shandong rhyme books during Ming and Qing Dynasties,by vertical extension,from the perspective of phonetic evolutionary history,referring to the relevant research results about the modern Northern Mandarin,the Shandong dialect island,the modern Shandong dialect and the phonetic materials of foreign literature,we try to explore the evolutive trace of initial consonant in the Shandong dialect for nearly four hundred years from the end of Ming Dynasty to the present.The main innovative points are as follows:1.to tease out the venation of the Shandong rhyme books,and draw the inherent relationship map about these rhyme books;2.to compare the similarities and differences of phonetic structure,and describe the division and combination of some important initial consonants;3.to draw the evolutive trace map of initial consonant in the Shandong dialect for nearly four hundred years from the end of Ming Dynasty to the present.
