| Wuming type gets its name because of it has no vaticinator.It situates in the third and forth period according to the five-period theory which is invented by Dong Zuobin,and belongs to the Cunnan series according to the two-series theory put forward by Li Xueqin.Wuming type follows Li type from Cunnan series and leads to Huang type from Cunbei,it lasts a very long time,so it has a large amount and contents many information.In one word,Wuming type is a very important material for the study of late Shang Dynasty’s language,characteristics,culture and economy.This paper is a collection and study of Wuming type inscriptions.This paper contents the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,it includes why we select this topic,the definition of the terms that appear in this paper and the former studies on Wuming type.We also discuss the deficiencies of current oracle-bone inscriptions collection books mainly centering on Wuming type.The materials and research methods we use in this paper as well as its aim,main job and structure also is an indispensable part of introduction.The second and third part is the main body of the paper.The second part is the study of characteristics.We make a comprehensive and full study of Wuming type inscriptions on the base of former studies,and divide it into seven small types:Li-Wu(Ⅰ,Ⅱ),WumingⅠA,WumingⅠB(a,b,c),WumingⅠC(a,b),WumingⅡA,WumingⅡB,Wu-Huang.By using Lin yun’s classification method,we study the characteristics on each small type through writing feature,the structure of characteristics and the habit of word using.We also generalize the structure and arrangement of the inscriptions on the base of characteristics study,and discuss their period.The structure of characteristics is the key point of the study.We first choose some signal characteristics and use their co-occurrence and other connections to make the table of signal characteristics group,then we describe each signal characteristics detailedly.On the base of jobs above,we gather each small group from Jia gu wen he ji,Jia gu wen he ji bu bian,Xiao tun nan di jia gu and other collection books,and make a table of Wuming type inscriptions materials.The third part is the history of Shang Dynasty that can be learned in Wuming type inscriptions,including sacrifice and gods,war and Fang Guo,hunting and geography,time and climates,agriculture,functionary,architecture and so on.The forth part is the summary,it includes our main point and the deficiencies of our job.The last part is appendix.AppendixⅠis twelve new rejoinings of Wuming type.AppendixⅡis some tables,including table of Wuming type inscriptions materials,table of rejoining of Wuming type scapular,table of repetition of Wuming type scapular,table of signal characteristics of Wuming type inscriptions. |
